When you hand an appeal over, what matters most is who is actually doing the work. Your case is prepared and argued by surveyors who are members of RICS and the IRRV, the two professional bodies that set the standard for property valuation and for business rates specifically.
That counts for more in this field than in most. Business rates attracts a good number of unqualified agents, and there are long standing warnings to businesses about firms that take a fee and deliver very little. Membership of a professional body means a code of conduct, ongoing training and real accountability behind the advice you are given.

Between us we have around 30 years of working with rateable values, rental evidence and the Valuation Office, which is what tells you quickly whether a case is worth making.
